Built for the way Manhattan homes are built.

Manhattan renovations are a different animal. Floors are rarely level, walls are rarely square, and every job runs through a building with its own rules: freight elevator reservations, restricted work hours, board approvals and neighbors on the other side of the wall. A tile installer has to plan around all of it before the first box is opened.

Dynamic Tile & Stone is a family-run crew based in Washingtonville, NY, with more than 18 years of experience in marble, natural stone, glass and porcelain. We work closely with owners, designers and general contractors to keep schedules tight and finished lines clean.

Architecture & applications

Manhattan building types we plan for

Pre-war co-ops

Classic six and seven-room apartments often have old, out-of-level subfloors and original plumbing walls. We flatten and prepare surfaces properly so large-format tile and stone sit true, and we detail waterproofing carefully for bathrooms above other units.

Condos & new construction

Modern towers favor large-format porcelain, bookmatched slabs and floor-to-ceiling bath walls with minimal grout lines. Tight tolerances and consistent layout planning are what make these look high-end.

Townhouses & brownstones

Multi-level townhouses on the Upper East Side, Chelsea and the Village mix period details with modern baths and kitchens: hex floors, marble thresholds, stone surrounds and heated floors.

Lofts & converted spaces

Tribeca, SoHo and NoHo lofts call for durable, character-rich surfaces: wide-format stone flooring, honed marble counters and statement backsplashes.

Kitchens & backsplashes

Subway, zellige-style, stacked stone and full-slab backsplashes, set clean around outlets, hoods and cabinet returns.

Bathrooms & showers

Walk-in showers, steam rooms, niches, curbless entries and marble vanities: the most common Manhattan tile project and the one where waterproofing matters most.

Questions

Good to know.

Do you work in co-ops and condos with building rules?

Yes. Tell us the building’s requirements up front (work hours, elevator reservations, insurance paperwork) and we plan the schedule around them. Ask about specifics when you request a quote.

Can you install heavy natural stone and large-format slabs?

Yes. We install marble, travertine, limestone and large-format porcelain, including bookmatched layouts. Substrate prep is part of the job, so the surface is flat before anything is set.
